RACE FOR THIRD/ SECOND
DATE
LIVERPOOL SPURS MAN UTD
21/4/18 WBA a
28/4/18
STOKE h
29-6-18 ARSENAL
h
30-4-17 WATTFORD
h
4-6-18 BRIGHTON a
5-6-18 WBA a
6-5-18 CHELSEA a
9-6-18 NEWCASTLE h
10-6-18 WEST HAM a
13-5-18 BRIGHTON
h LEICESTER h WATT FORD h
Liverpool could move back to second spot before United play
their next game and to finish in third probably need to get at least 4 points
from their next 2 games but will Champions League view change how they see
thing and will they rest players as they should be sure of at least a
qualifying spot at this stage. Or do they want to push for second we will see.
Spurs have a kind fixture list but you cannot rule out Newcastle or Leicester
picking up points
I would think Liverpool would finish third behind United
RACE FOR EUROPA
I am sot that sure what has to happen for Burnley to get
into the Europa League and there are enough permutations that looking at it now
seems to be a bit pointless as Arsenal could win the Europa and Southampton
could not the cup final
Here is how I think this could go
DATE BURNLEY ARSENAL
22-4-18 STOKE
a WEST
HAM h
28-4-18 BRIGHTON
H
29-4-18 MAN
UNITED a
6-5-18 ARSENAL
a BURNLEY
h
9-5-18 LEICESTER
a
13-5-15 BOURNEMOUTH
h HUDDERSFIELD
h
This season for both clubs could all come down to that one
match on the 6th of May and I think if Burnley win it they should
finish above Arsenal but anything else and I would be surprised if they do. I
am not sure how this will effect qualification for Europe but I have a feeling
that it might. I think Arsenal will have too much.
RELEGATION DOGFIGHT
WBA have 24 points. I think that WBA are down as they need
to get 9 points from their next 4 games Liverpool h Sat 21st April
Newcastle Away Saturday 28th April Sat 5th May Spurs Away
and Saturday 13th May Palace at home. I think that either Liverpool
or Spurs will beat them meaning they will have to win every match to have a
fair chance.
Stoke have 28 points who play Burnley at Home on the 22nd
Liverpool Away on the 28th Palace at home on the 5th and
Swansea away on the 13th. They would have to beat Swansea and Burnley
or Palace and they might even need 6 points from them 2 matches. This is not
easy either
Southampton have 29 points and play Bournemouth at home a must
win match on the 28th of April
next is Everton on the 5th of May away and Swansea on the 8th
of May they have to get a minimum of 4 points from them 2 games then Man City
at home which they might have to win
Swansea sit in 17th with 5 games to play with 33
points first is Man City away on Sunday in a match that make the fight interesting.
Next is Chelsea at home on the 28th. Bournemouth Away on the 5th
of May. Southampton at home on the 8th of May which could define
everything and Stoke at home on the 13th.
Crystal Palace with 35 points start this month with Watford away on Saturday
and Leicester at home on the 28th then in May Stoke away on the 5th
and WBA on the 13th.
Huddersfield have 35 points and play Everton at home on the
28th of April followed by Man City away on the 6th of May
Chelsea away on the 9th of May and Arsenal at home on the 13th.
That Everton match could be massive for them and define what league they play
in next season
West Ham have played 33 but have 35 Arsenal away on the 22nd
of April then Man City at home on the 29th of April. Leicester away on the 5th
of May. Man United at home on the 1oth of May then Everton at home on the 13th
of May
Brighton play Burney away on the 28th of April,
Man United at home on the 4th of May. Man City away on the 9th
of May and Liverpool away on the 13 May
Bournemouth play Southampton on the 28th of April, Swansea at
home on the 5th of May and Burnley away on the 13th of May .
I think West Brom and Stoke are down but the match between Swansea and Southampton will be fror that third place winner up looser down
