UEFA CHAMPIONS
LEAGUE LAST 16
SEVILLA 0-0 MAN UNITED
DE GEA KEEPS UNITED
IN GAME
De Gea the Spain keeper had kept out efforts from Joaquin
Correa and Steven N'Zonzi before showing quick reflexes to produce a one-handed
save on the stroke of half-time and deny Luis Muriel's header.
United, who were playing their first Champions League
knockout game in four years, offered little offensively, with Romelu Lukaku
spurning their best chance when he volleyed well over early on before
substitute Marcus Rashford dragged a shot wide in the closing stages.
MY
OPINION
This result hands the advantage
of this match to the Spanish side as United must now win the tie at Old
Trafford. If the Spaniards score the United must score 3 and I don’t think that
they will have the consistency in their game to do that.
SHAKTAR 2-1 ROMA
FANTASTIC FRED
Argentine striker Facundo Ferreyra, who did not play a
minute for Newcastle during a season-long loan in 2014-15, struck to cancel out
the opener by Roma's exciting Turkish winger Cengiz Under.
Then Fred, 24, who has been linked with a move to Premier
League leaders Manchester City, curled his free-kick over the wall and into the
top corner.
MY
OPINION
Roma must be angry that they had
a lead in this match and then lost it just after half time. This tie is not
over yet that I can be sure of but are Roma strong enough defensively not to
score a goal in the second leg as I think that they will score.
