David McMillan almost doubled the lead four minutes later,
but his header was brilliantly tipped over the top by Hansen. How crucial that
save turned out to be.
Rosenbergs two Danes, Bendtner and Mike Jensen were the
architects. The big striker’s exquisite flick found his captain and his pass
inside Gannon was perfectly weighted for De Lanlay, who raced clear to finish
past Gary Rogers.
It was another substitute, however, who had the decisive
say, Vilhjalmsson climbing high above Gratland to direct a Hedenstad cross past
Rogers and edge Rosenborg ahead on aggregate.

OPINION
This was nothing less than heart-breaking
and we know that Dundalk is better than this. To me the question has to be
asked when Dundalk scored their goal why did they not push for that second. I
think it is a massive disappointment that they cannot go further but this has
been a bad season so far. There should be a competition that allows a team like
Dundalk to develop.

Sinclair scored again after the second half opened with Tom
Rogic's superb long-range strike, with Stuart Armstrong netting in stoppage

OPINION
Celtic have got the same type of
situation as Dundalk where they have to go to a higher level to improve and
their entire season depends on their European success and I still see them with
a lot of hope but when they play the big boys that hope burns out.
