FIFANA TRY GIVES HURRICANES DRAW


In their final midweek game of the 2017 tour the Lions led 23-7 at half-time courtesy of opportunistic scores from wingers Seymour and North, either side of Callum Gibbins' short-range try for the hosts.
The Super Rugby champions scored within a minute of the restart through Ngani Laumape, but a third try of the tour from Seymour should have set the Lions on the way to victory.
But, when Ireland's Henderson was sent from the field with the scores at 31-17, the Canes went on the attack and Wes Goosen and Vaea Fifita punished the Lions with converted tries to level the scores.

MY OPINION


The Lions need to learn as much as they can from this draw as the main thing being when down to 14 men they need to know how to play sensibly and pull out a win. I think that the match on Saturday do will be seen as vital and one they must win. They do still seem to be learning how to work with each other and understanding what their teammates do they should be ready by now but they are not.

UEFA QUALIFIERS  WORLD CUP CROATIA  4-1 GREESE MODERIC MAKES MAGIC Greek keeper Orestis Karnezis' clumsy touch led to him conceding an early penalty, which Luka Modric converted. Nikola Kalinic was unmarked to tap in a second but Sokratis Papastathopoulos' fine header gave Greece an away goal. Ivan Perisic headed Croatia's third before half-time before Andrej Kramaric tapped in after a botched backpass. BIG WIN KEEPS IRELAND IN Ireland kept alive their hopes of reaching the T20 World Cup as they earned a dominant eight-wicket win over Jersey in the Qualifier in Abu Dhabi. Mark Adair (3-10) was the pick of the bowlers, dismissing Harrison Carlyon and Jonty Jenner for ducks, as Jersey could only post 105 in their 20 overs.
