BOURNMOUT 3-1 BRIGHTON
WHAT A DAY WILSON
A long ball forward from Billing is headed out by Dunk but
it only reaches Solanke on the edge of the area. The Bournemouth forward keeps
his cool and plays in Harry Wilson, who blasts home the opener!
It's been given as an own goal, which seems harsh on Callum
Wilson, who is searching for his first goal since September. The Bournemouth
man looks to have got the decisive touch, turning in from close range off
Gross.
But Eddie Howe won't worry too much about that - he'll just
be delighted with how this first-half has turned out for his under-pressure
side.
Solanke pings a pass into Wilson and he takes it around Ryan
and tucks home his first goal since September!
Mooy smacks in a left-foot strike off the post.
MY
OINION
This has to be seen as a big win
between two smaller clubs in the league and I feel Bournemouth can push on from
this and attempt to win as many games to keep towards their targets but Wilson
did deserve a hat trick
VILLA 2-1 WATTFORD
KONSA KIKKS
Earlier, in their first meaningful attack, Troy Deeney's
simple header from a Gerard Deulofeu delivery put Watford ahead
Villa were then back on terms midway through the second half
as substitute Douglas Luiz arrived at the back post to strike into the roof of the
net
Konsa, another defender, strikes in brilliantly from the
edge of the box after Mings - I think – tees him up! Remarkable scenes there!
MY
OPINION
This result puts Watford in a
lot of trouble and gets Villa out of the hole they are in but something that
the London club will need to look is conceding goals at the death as that is
going to be the difference between survival and relegation
PALICE 0-2 SOUTHAMPTON
REDMOND RUNS THE
SHOW
The night’s scoring begins with a searing 20-yard finish
from Redmond, who works space before fairly lashing the ball into the far
corner! Great hit.
Saints’ second pearler of the game! Armstrong takes
possession 25 yards out, has a touch, and then whips a wonderful effort past
Guaita and into the corner!
MY
OPINION
Southampton have shown in this
game that they can change things in an instant and they are pushing forward this
season they are one of the teams you associate with the Premiere league and
they should stay safe
SHEF UTD 0-1 MAN CITY
A DEADLY DE BRUN
So is De Bruyne, who weights a delicious ball across
from the right – impossible to defend really – that gives the substitute a
chance he simply cannot miss. The Blades’ good work goes up in smoke, just
minutes after a big miss from close range McBurnie – who may or may not have
been just offside.
MY
OPINION
This was a bit of luck and
United did deserve to get the point from this match. City just show that they
have still got the luck that they needed to be champions. City have to look to
next season but should have tried to replace Kompany
EVERTON 2-2 NEWCASTLE
LEJEUNE LOVES IT
It’ll be too late, surely, but it’s a very slick
acrobatic finish by the defender after the hosts don’t clear a corner properly.
There’s an almighty scramble and Lejeune’s shot crosses the
line before Pickford can bundle it out – Newcastle, and the most unlikely of
scorers, have pulled this right out of the fire in injury time.
MY
OPINION
This was a crucial point for the
Geordies but the fact that this match is some close can be a concern. Everton
are one of the teams that can compete well with the big guns and so are
Newcastle when things are going well but now they are not
