EUROPA LEAGUE PLAY
OFFS
CELTIC 2-0 AIK
FANATICAL FOREST
James Forrest has a shot at goal that has too much power for
the AIK goalie and it trickles into the net.
Odsonne Edouard curls a terrific free-kick past the AIK
goalkeeper to make it 2-0.
The Frenchman does brilliantly to get the ball up and over
the wall.
MY
OPINION
Celtic have control of this
match but it does not mean it is a done deal yet and Celtic will probably be judged
on their European run rather than what they do in Scotland and as I think this
is done but stranger things have happened
LINFIELD 3-2 QUARABAG
STAGGERING STAFFORD
Faycal Rherras opens the scoring for the visitors!Having
cleared the initial danger from the corner, Qarabag work the ball over the top
of the Linfield defence. Rherras gets on the end of it and pokes a
fantastically controlled finish into the top corner.
Mark Stafford He opened the scoring against Sutjeska and
he's got Linfield back into this one. Mitchell's free-kick delivery from the
left is inch-perfect and Stafford makes no mistake as he powers his header past
Vagner having evaded his marker, Michel.
Shayne Lavery heads home! Linfield have turned the game on
its head!Another cracking cross from Mitchell, delivered straight onto the
keeper. But Lavery simply wanted it more.
Shayne Lavery scores a screamer! The striker shows another
explosive burst of pace to trouble the Qarabag defender Huseynov. He steals the
ball, charges forward, drops back onto his left foot and curls a wonderful
effort into the top corner!
Penalty Gueye scores with a panenka. Qarabag get a second away
goal.Nerveless.
MY
OPINION
This is the home match so I don’t
really know what Linfield could do in the second leg or whether it is possible
for them when they go against stronger opposition but we will see if they can
keep it level then they are right in with a shot.
TORINO 2-3 WOLVES
JOTA JANGES GAME
The visitors went ahead when Joao Moutinho's free-kick was
headed into his own net by Torino's Gleison Bremer.
Diogo Jota doubled the advantage as he finished after Adama Traore's
pass.
Lorenzo de Silvestri pulled one back, Raul Jimenez's calm
finish restored Wolves' two-goal lead before Andrea Belotti's late penalty for
Torino.
MY
OPINION
The fact that Wolves are leading
Wolves had to show that they were ready and they were but taking this type of
match at home will definitely make things a lot harder and Wolves got the win
which changed everything
LEGIA WARSAW 0-0
RANGERS
STALEMATE BRING IT
BACK TO IBROX
Both sides created plenty of chances, with Legia coming
alive in the second half after Rangers dominated early on.
Allan McGregor produced three fine stops, while Alfredo
Morelos was denied by Radoslaw Majecki when clean through.
MY
OPINION
There is nothing to concern
either side as both will be expected to do well at Ibrox and this match could
be one of the things it develop Gerard as a coach. This home match now will
define everything and Rangers must now go in with a mentality to win it
