28-6-19 womens world cup
WOMEN'S WORLD CUP
NORWAY 0-3 ENGLAND
BRONZE BRIGHTNESS EVERYONE DAY
Lucy Bronze gallops
down the right flank and cuts inside before pulling the ball back from the
byline. Ellen White swings a leg to convert but hits a fresh-air shot. The ball
rolls to Jill Scott, who scuffs it home off the upright.
Down the right flank, Lucy Bronze plays the ball inside to
Nikita Parris, who pings it goalwards around a defender and into the path of
White. She sweeps the ball home from a couple of yards out.
Lucy Bronze rifles a surface-to-air screamer into the roof
of the net from about 25 metres out after being left unmarked once again at
a set-piece. From the dead ball situation, Beth Mead pulled the ball her way
and Bronze unleashed a fantastic shot.
MY
OPINION
This definitely has pushed
England as a serious contender for the competition and one more match and even
people like the Irish Scottish and welsh will give them their due diligence but
not until that point. They have been at this position at the last 2 world cups
but not got that step further which I think is needed or for the fans to back
them like the men’s the 2 sports won’t be equal as people associate with a club
and they have to find a way now top broaden the game out to the other 4
Scotland were in the groups this year
