21-6-19 womens soccer world cup

GROUP E
CAMEROON 2-1 NEW ZEELAND
NCHOUT NICKS IT
It was a rather uneventful game up until the 57th minute when Nchout brought the game to life by turning inside of two New Zealand defenders and keeping her cool with a smart finish.
Cameroon were the better side thereafter but the game suddenly turned when Awona inadvertently converted into her own net, at which point both were staring at a heartbreaking exit.
Olivia Chance screwed wide from inside the box on 87 minutes before the excellent Nchout made space in the box and slotted in with the last kick of the game deep in injury time
MY OPINION
Cameroon saved themselves in this match and did not deserve the win that put them through they were by lucky but now need to know how to ride that luck when it comes to knockout stages as for New Zeeland they have to be annoyed but with what
NETHERLANDS 2-1 CANADA
BEAUTIFUL BEERENTSEYN
Anouk Dekker gave the Dutch the lead when she headed in before Christine Sinclair equalised to achieve the feat of scoring in five World Cups.
Canada were level soon after when Sinclair prodded in Jordyn Huitema's cross at the far post.
Beerensteyn's close-range finish ensured the Dutch finished their group campaign with a 100% record.
MY OPINION
This was a lucky escape also with the Netherlands getting a huge win here which means they top the group but Canada still have to be seen as a threat for the whole competition. I still would say the Dutch are improving but Canada can learn

GROUP F
SWEDEN 0-2 USA
HAPPY HORAN
Unmarked midfielder Lindsey Horan poked in the opener from an early corner, before Tobin Heath's strike deflected in off Chelsea defender Jonna Andersson as the USA added a controversial second after the break.
MY OPINION
The USA have shown in this match that they are a team not to be messed with and a serious contender for the World Cup itself. I think that they are improving match on match and look like favourites at this stage
THAILAND 0-2 CHILE
BOONSING BOOM BOOM
Needing a three-goal win to advance, Chile were 2-0 up when they were awarded a penalty after keeper Waraporn Boonsing fouled Maria Jose Urrutia.
However, Francisca Lara stepped up and struck her effort against the bar.
They took the lead when Boonsing inadvertently fired into her own net before Urrutia's header made it 2-0.
