FAPREMIERE LEAGUE
LIVERPOOL 5-0
HUDDERSFIELD
MAGIC MANE AND SUPER SALAH
Winning possession high in Huddersfield territory,Keta swept
a close-range effort into the bottom left corner from Mohamed Salah's pass to
record the Reds' quickest goal in a Premier League match.
It was also Liverpool's 100th goal in all competitions this
term, and they doubled their lead when Sadio Mane glanced Andrew Robertson's
superb cross into the bottom right corner.
Salah then lobbed Town goalkeeper Jonas Lossl on the stroke
of half-time to deliver a third after running on to Trent Alexander-Arnold's
ball forward.
Mane headed in his second from Jordan Henderson's cross to
briefly become the Premier League's joint-top scorer, on 20 goals.
However his Egyptian team-mate Salah regained that honour,
converting from another Robertson delivery in the closing stages
MY
OPINION
This shows the quality that
Liverpool have but it also shows that Huddersfield are going to have to start
from square 1 going into next year. Liverpool showed that they have got that
need to attack but everything will now depend on their next match.
SPURS 0-1 WEST HAM
ANTINIO AWSOME
Antonio, who chests down and barges into the box down the
inside-right channel, past Sanchez, and lashes a shot past Lloris! That was a
clever assist, and an even better finish.
MY
OPINION
Antinio being the first away
player to score at the new stadium has to be something to be praised but all
teams playing for Champions League spots seem to have their season being
fizzled out and this seems to be the way now with Spurs or were they looking at
Ajax.
PALICE 0-0 EVERTON
NO SCORE DRAW ENOUGH
TO PUSH TON
Substitute Cenk Tosun's brilliant back-heeled effort was
saved by Palace goalkeeper Vicente Guaita in the closing stages, while winger
Bernard and left-back Lucas Digne also hit the post for Everton in the second
half.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin missed opportunities to put them ahead
in a lively first half, but was denied by Guaita from close range and failed to
hit the target from Seamus Coleman's cross.
MY
OPINION
Everton have got enough here to
finish in 7th position and I think that this type of result can help
their cause. I think that Everton would be the team best suited for doing
something in Europe but another 4 points should do it. Palace are safe now
FULLHAM 1-0 CARDIFF
BABEL DESTROYS
CARDIFF DRE4AMS
Babel struck with a brilliant first-time effort from
20 yards to break Cardiff hearts.
MY
OPINION
Cardiff had one shot at staying
up as I understand it this was it as there was no way in which they would be
picking up 6 points now from their next 2 games. Fulham had form on their side
but I just saw this as Cardiff’s only hope and now its gone.
SOUTHAMPTON 3-3
BOURNMOUTH
WAKA WILSON
Shane Long gave the hosts a deserved 12th-minute lead with a
shot that took a deflection off of Nathan Ake following Nathan Redmond's pass.
But Bournemouth equalised with their first shot of the match
when Dan Gosling finished off a quick counter-attack after being set up by
Callum Wilson.
Long then could only hit the post with an open goal before
Wilson put Bournemouth ahead from a rebound as Angus Gunn could not hold on to
David Brooks' effort.
However, Saints fought back and James Ward-Prowse's low
strike made it 2-2 before substitute Matt Targett headed the hosts in front
from Yan Valery's right-wing cross.
But Wilson grabbed his second - and Bournemouth's third -
late on, bundling the ball home from close range after Ryan Fraser's run.
MY
OPINION
This was a game for the ages
that might have done enough to keep the Saints in the top flight for another
season. DA bad goal to concede at the end make not everything that certain just
yet as both teams might need to look at their defence for next year
WATTFORD 1-2 WOLVES
JOTA JUMPS WOLVES TO
BEST OF THE REST
Jimenez opened the scoring with his 13th league goal of the
season, turning Jota's low cross past Ben Foster from point-blank range.
Andre Gray capitalised on an error from Ryan Bennett to
equalise for Watford shortly after the restart, but a mistake from Foster
allowed Wolves to retake the lead with 13 minutes remaining.
Foster misjudged Ruben Neves' long ball into the Watford
penalty area, allowing Jota to tap into the unguarded net to seal the win for
the visitors.
MY
OPINION
Another win would secure it this
weekend but Wolves seem to be the best of the rest as with such limited money
it is always an achievement. This team now have to ask themselves would a
European adventure suit them
BRIGHTON 1-1 NEWCASTLE
GROSS GLEE
Dummett is allowed to stroll down the left. He sends a ball
across to Rondon at the far post. Rondon chests the ball down for Perez, who is
just inside the area ... and belts the ball into the top right! Ryan had no
chance.
Stephens sprayed a fine diagonal pass to Bruno, who crossed
from the right. Murray jumped above Schar on the penalty spot to win a flick-on
header. Dubravka hesitated, and Gross nipped in between to head past him!
MY
OPINION
Newcastle gave this one away but
we all know that Brighton needed the points for survival. You do wonder what is
going to happen with Newcastle for the next few weeks now knowing there is little
to play for.
LEICESTER 3-0 ARSENAL
VICIOUS VARDY
It was a deft header to meet a beautiful ball, zipped
into the box at speed, allowing the unmarked Tielemans to nod in. A wonderful
goal. “Sign him up” is the inevitable chorus from home supporters.
Schmeichel punts a huge, straight ball downfield, it takes
out Koscielny and Mustafi, and Vardy – of course – gleefully latches on to it;
the striker cannot believe his luck. Vardy races through one-on-one with Leno,
lofts it over him ... but rattles the crossbar. When it bounces off the
woodwork, Vardy smashes in the rebound.
Pereira skates into the box, sliding the ball across goal,
on a plate for Vardy to complete the job. A fine goal.
MY
OPINION
This keeps Leicester in the hunt
for one of the European spots next season and I think that this one of their
biggest wins of the season and their next tie is just as important and they can
hope to play at the same level again and
their might be some hope.
MAN UTD 1-1 CHELSEA
ALONSO ALUR
The goal was made by
Lukaku, who chipped a beautiful pass over the defence into the path of
Luke Shaw. Kepa came out to block the shot, so Shaw touched the ball across the
area for Mata to score his right foot. There were a few defenders on the line
but Mata stayed cool and passed it into the net.
Rudiger moved forward and smashed a hopeful
shot from 30 yards. It was well struck but straight at de Gea, who fumbled it
to his right. Alonso, who was the only one to follow the ball in, bounced a
clever shot across de Gea and in off the far post.
MY
OPINION
United I think now need a bit of
a miracle in order to be playing in the Champions League next season and after
what happened directly after Solsar came in I don’t think anyone would have saw
that result coming it’s like they have gone back again and need to see where
they are
BURNLEY 0-1 MAN CITY
AGUERO A BIT LUCKY
At last! Matt Lowton thought he had cleared the striker’s
shot off the line but the goal is awarded, technology confirming to the referee
Paul Tierney that the ball dropped a couple of inches over the line before the
Burnley defender hacked clear. Bernardo Silva’s dinked cross plunged Burnley into
trouble, with Agüero digging his heels in to wrestle the ball away from
Tarkowski before letting fly inside the box. Heaton made an instinctive save,
but could not prevent the ball from bouncing over and in.
MY
OPINION
Man City might have won the
title in this moment and as a Liverpool fan I do find a bit cruel as I see City
getting that bit of luck where Liverpool were dropping points and City were
constantly winning I do think the gods are with them which does mean there is
nothing that we can do
