FA PREMIERE LEAGUE
PALICE 1-3 MAN CITY
SUPER STERLING
Sterling opened the scoring after Kevin de Bruyne's
beautifully weighted pass saw his team-mate outsprint Patrick van Aanholt
before an exquisite finish beyond Vicente Guaita.
England winger Sterling's instinctive finish after Leroy
Sane's pass doubled the lead.
Palace, who are 11 points above the relegation zone, reduced
the deficit through Luka Milivojevic's late free-kick before substitute Gabriel
Jesus made it 3-1 with a smart finish.
MY
OPINION
Man City have shown themselves
to be the best team in England all season and the fact that they did not rest
anyone for this game definitely says a lot. The way the talk up Europe you
would have seen them field a weakened team
LIVERPOL 2-0 CHELSEA
MAGNIFICENT MANE
After a nervy first half in which both sides had chances,
Liverpool emerged from the break with added purpose and took the lead via Sadio
Mane's header.
There was a huge sense of relief inside the ground, but that
became a deafening roar when Salah smashed a left-footed angled drive into the
top right corner from 25 yards for his 19th Premier League goal of the season.
MY
OPINION
This keep Liverpool in the hunt
with no more big matches to play. A horrible result for Chelsea as they
probably saw themselves nicking a point but Liverpool have got offensive
options that can change a game in an instant
SPURS 4-0 HUDDERSFIELD
LIOVELY LUCAS MOURA
A much-changed Spurs side dominated from the off at
Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and deservedly went ahead when Victor Wanyama danced
around Ben Hamer and slotted home midway through the first half.
Moura added their second just 144 seconds later as he rifled
a low shot past Hamer after being played in by Moussa Sissoko.
The Brazilian was on the scoresheet again three minutes from
time as he controlled and volleyed home Christian Eriksen's cross.
And he completed his hat-trick deep into injury time with
another emphatic finish past Hamer.
MY
OPINION
This was the result that shows
where Spurs were and where they could be in the near future but Spurs showed
the quality over the match. It does say that happened to make them from
potential title contenders can happen again. As for Huddersfield they are in a
bit of a crisis
MAN U 2-1 WEST HAM
PERFECT POGBA
The decision to award United their first penalty - when
Robert Snodgrass was deemed to have fouled Juan Mata - was contentious, and
West Ham should have taken the lead in the ninth minute but Felipe Anderson's
goal was incorrectly ruled out for offside.
Pellegrini also said United's second penalty should not have
stood because Anthony Martial, who was fouled by Ryan Fredericks, was offside
in the build-up - although replays seemed to show he was onside.
MY
OPINION
Man U had luck on their side as
this was a big win for them as it keeps them on track for finishing in the top
4. West Ham must feel angry and annoyed and what happened
WATTFORD 0-1 ARSENAL
ABAYANANG KILLS FF
SILLY ERROR
Goalkeeper Foster gifted the Gunners an opening goal after
10 minutes when he took too long on the ball after collecting a back pass,
allowing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to charge down his clearance and deflect the
ball in.
MY
OPINION
This win keeps arsenal in the
race for fourth spot while denting Wolves chance at getting a European spot we
are getting towards the point now of the season where points will change
everything for both sides
SOUTHAMPTON 3-1 WOLVES
RHOMPANT REDMOND
Josh Sims – making his first Premier League start for a year
– broke behind the Wolves backline and cut the ball back to Nathan Redmond, who
provided the perfect finish when running across the near post.
The visitors fought back with good chances for Raul Jimenez
and Leander Dendoncker, but would draw level when Willy Boly powered a header
into the top corner.
Sims was again involved as he found Danny Ings on the edge
of the box, and the striker’s well-disguised reverse ball found Redmond again
to clip in his second over the advancing Rui Patricio.
James Ward-Prowse’s corner wasn’t cleared and Shane Long was
on hand to flick home the loose ball with 20 minutes left to play.
MY
OPINION
This win would be enough to keep
Saints safe but at the same time Wolves European hopes don’t seem to be helped.
I think that they can use these last few matches to see what they have in their
squad but Wolves must buck up.
BURNLEY 2-0 CARDIFF
WACKY WOOD
With the Clarets leading through Chris Wood's header from a
corner, Cardiff were awarded a penalty when home defender Ben Mee headed the
ball against his own arm.
However, Dean reversed the decision after talking to his
assistant Darren Cann - much to the anger of Cardiff's players.
Wood headed a late second goal to leave the Bluebirds five
points from safety with five games remaining after a sixth defeat in seven
games.
MY
OPINION
Cardiff are in a serious whole
at the moment and thyey know that there are problems there that need to be
fixed as they will be going down very soon. Burnley have got a lot of matches
to play but could still slip up
LEICESTER 0-1 NEWCASTLE
RUNDON RHOMP
Salomon Rondon almost handed the visitors a spectacular lead
when he struck the crossbar with a powerful free-kick from 35 yards.
MY
OPINION
This is going to be the result
to keep Newcastle more or less safe for this season so they can concentrate on
getting a better season for the next. Rafa is the main thing for Newcastle and
I would wonder how much he will get next season
