GALLANT GIROUD
Willian sends over an outswinging corner. Alonso heads it on
at the near post and Giroud taps into the net rom six yards. That’s the tie
sealed, surely!
It’s yet another goal in this competition for Giroud - his
eighth this season - and it came from a wonderful pass by Alonso from the left
after Loftus-Cheek began the move in midfield. Giroud was left with a
straightforward finish from 15 yards and he made no mistake.
More confirmation of Chelsea’s dominance, as Alonso stabs
into the net from two yards after Hudson-Odoi teed him up following a snappy
one-two with Giroud.
Willian clips in the freekick from the right, and Giroud is
free to guide a header into the net from six yards. That’s his hat-trick, easy
as you like.
This time Giroud is the provider, playing a lovely ball from
midfield to Hudson-Odoi, who had made a smart run. The youngster then keeps his
composure to slot the ball past the advancing keeper.
MY
OPINION
This has to put Chelsea as a
serious Europa League contender as it might be the only way into the Champions
League. I think that this was awesome as they simply cut Kiev to shreds and are
pushing for Champions League. Dynamo are easily ahead of the Croatian league
and should go into Champions League qualifiers but feels they must learn as
much as they can

AUTHENTIC AUBAMEYANG
They moved the ball nicely from left to right, where the
overlapping Maitland-Niles had a bit of space. He waited for support and then
played a short pass infield to Ramsey, whose low cross on the turn was
sidefooted into the net from four yards by Aubameyang.
It was made by Aubameyang, who came infield from the left
and played a square pass to Ramsey. He zipped it first-time towards Kolasinac,
who realised he was miles offside and ignored the ball. Aubameyang ran onto it
and stood up a lovely left-footed cross that was headed in decisively at the
far post by Maitland-Niles.
Mkhitaryan bides his time before easing a pass down
the left to Kolasinac, who fizzes a superb low cross into the area. It beats
everyone at the near post and is tapped into an empty net by Aubameyang at the
far. He might have been offside then, too, though I suspect he was just okay.
MY
OPINIONN
Their will be one team that is
going to fail in the Champions League pursuit and that is for sure but I think
Arsenal have shown the quality here to be a huge threat in the Europa League if
you do not focus on both Champions League might have been impossible

CHAMPIONS
LEAGUE QUARTER FINAL DRAW
Ajax v Juventus
This does look like an easy draw
for Juventus but the Dutch side have proven a surprise
Liverpool v Porto
The draw has been kind for
Liverpool more so than any other club
Barcelona v Man U
Tie of the round if United can
get up for it
Spurs v Man City
The all English tie but they would
have played in the league before that and that could prove quite vital
EUROPA
LEAGUE QUARTER FINAL DRAW
Napoli v Arsenal
This might be a bit of a mission
impossible for Arsenal as they are playing the best team outside the Champions
League. If Arsenal are up for it this could be a classic. Napoli are sitting in
second in Seria A so should be considered a real threat
Villarreal v Valencia
Valencia should be seen as hot
favourites for this tie considering how poorly in La Lega and I think that will
be the factor in this tie.
Benfica v Entrict Francfurt
Benicia can look at this type of
match as a way into the Champions league if they lose out to Porto in the Portuguese
League but little is known about Frankfurt who are sitting in 5th
position in the Bundesliga
Slavia Prague V Chelsea
Chelsea are showing that they
have a real chance in this competition after the last round. Slavia Prague will
definitely be able to use this as an opportunity to see where they are in a
European context
