MAN CITY 3-1 EVERTON
JESUS MIRICLE
Pickford knocks the goal kick to Mina, whose poor clearance
is intercepted by Gundogan. He lays off to Sane, who slides a pass down the
inside-left for Jesus. The striker takes a stride into the box, and lashes the
ball past Pickford,
Delph slips a pass down the inside-left for Sane, who
clips in a cross. Jesus rises and blasts a header past a helpless Pickford. So
simple!
Walker makes good down the right, and his dangerous low
cross is hacked clear by Mina. Sigurdsson races up the other end. The ball
breaks to Digne out on the left. Digne loops in a cross and Calvert-Lewin
plants a glorious header into the top right! Ederson had no hope
Jesus flicks a little pass down the inside-left channel.
Fernandinho reaches the byline and dinks one into the middle, where Sterling
plants a header into the net from close range!
CRYSTAL PALICE 1-0
LEICESTER
MILIVOJEVIC MOMENTUM
Both sides struggled to create chances in a drab first half
until Milivojevic beat Foxes keeper Kasper Schmeichel from 25 yards out with a
powerful, curving shot.
Jamie Vardy earlier had a goal disallowed for a foul on
Vicente Guaita as the returning striker caught the Palace keeper, making his
Premier League debut, dawdling on the ball.
MY
OPINION
This game could have went either
way and I think there was every chance of it going the other way if Vardys goal
stood. The win though is huge for Palace as it keep them out of the danger area
and makes Christmas look a lot easier.
HUDDESFIELD 0-1
NEWCASTLE
RUNNING RONDON
Rondon swept home a
lovely Javier Manquillo ball across the box for the only goal of the game to
finish off a well-worked counter-attack 10 minutes after half-time
MY
OPINION
This win has put Newcastle out
of the stress of a relegation battle for now and their does seem to be a sense
of progress with this club with it being sold on. I think that Newcastle can
get to top half but only if they put the goals in. Huddersfield are in some
serious trouble and need to understand every point counts here and they need
goals.
SPURS 1-0 BURNLEY
EPIC ERICSON
Harry Kane picked out Eriksen in stoppage time, and
the Dane fired beyond a helpless Hart.
MY
OPINION
This was a very lucky win for
Spurs and usually are the types of wins that win you league titles at the end
of the season but for Spurs it might just mean Champions League football. Burnley
must have felt this as it puts them into the relegation zone
WATTFORD 3-2 CARDIFF
QUINA QUACKS
Deulofeu exploited huge gaps in the Cardiff defence on 17
minutes, riding the tackles to slot coolly beyond Neil Etheridge to make it
1-0.
There was nothing the keeper could do about the second
Hornets goal however, full back Jose Holebas curling an unstoppable strike into
the far corner.
Quina placed another delightful effort into the corner of
Etheridge's goal to make it 3-0
Cardiff stood their ground and pulled one back through
Hoilett's eye-catching strike
Substitute Decordova-Reid then prodded home after a melee in
the Watford box, sparking riotous scenes among the Bluebirds fans
MY
OPINION
This is a match that Watford
will regret losing control of for sure as we know that we have seen much more
from them in a de4fensive sense. If Cardiff had nicked a point then it would
have helped their struggle but not to be.
WOLVES 2-0 BOURNMOUTH
JUMPIN JAMINES
Raul Jimenez got his fifth goal of the season for the
opener, turning in Diogo Jota's deflected shot after a bad Charlie Daniels
error.
It was a gift of a goal that came against the run of play
and from the first half's only attempt on target before Jefferson Lerma hit a
tame shot in added time.
MY
OPINION
For
Wolves they could finish above Man United this season which would be an incredible
accomplishment but in this match except for the
point there was little on the line and Maybe next year Wolves could be
in Europe but there is still a long way to go. They can get goals from Lerma
which in this league can change a lot of things.
FULLHAM 0-2 WEST HAM
SNODGRASS WITH STYLE
Schurrle drifts in from the left, dodges a challenge and
lays off to Snodgrass, who bends a delicious first-time shot inside Rico’s near
post from the edge of the box.
Anderson, wide left, drifts a cross into the box. Hernandez
leaps to get a tiny but vital flick on the ball, and Antonio prods home through
the legs of Rico.
MY OPINION
West ham mare beginning to show
the class that we know that they have and they showed that killer instinct as
for Fullham they will need to find some wins very soon or they will go down
BRIGHTON 1-2 CHELSEA
HAPPY HAZZARD
The 27-year-old set up the Blues' opener with a wonderful
pass across the face of goal for the arriving Pedro to tap in on 17 minutes.
Willian then pounced on a loose pass from Leon Balogun and
played in Hazard, who ran from just over the halfway line, outpacing the
Brighton defence before slotting past Mat Ryan.
But they improved following Murray's substitution for
Romanian striker Florin Andone and pulled a goal back in the 66th minute.
MY
OPINION
Chelsea were showing their
quality in the first hour but seemed to ease off in the last half hour which could
have cost them 2 vital points. There was not too much on the lie forb Brighton
but in this league we have seen anything can and usually does happen
SOUTHAMPTON 3-2 ARSENAL
AWSOME AUSTIN
Matt Targett whips a beautiful ball in from the left,
Koscielny is caught on his heels and the Saints striker buries the ball into
the bottom corner.
Nacho Monreal darts towards the byline after being slipped
in by Alex Iwobi, and the Spaniard pulls a cross back for Mkhitaryan, who
arrives late into the box unmarked. He diverts the ball into the bottom corner
beyond Alex McCarthy with a cushioned header, bursting the Saints bubble
somewhat.
Leno. It was a result of a fine counterattack, after
McCarthy snatched Bellerin’s cross away from the grasp of Pierre-Emerick
Aubameyang. Redmond, in the end, is played in on the right and his floated
cross is nodded home by Ings.
Romeu is hounded out by Lacazette on the edge of the
box. He finds Mkhitaryan, who tries his luck and the ball cannons off
Vestergaard, wrong-footing Alex McCarthy and rolling into the net.
It was a simple floated cross by Long, but Leno made a
mess of it, gifting Austin the chance to head into an empty net.
MY
OPINION
No one saw this result coming and
it was a huge shock for a lot of fans and I personally think that Arsenal could
come out as the wounded beast which could harm Liverpool in the next few weeks.
As for Southampton a massive win that gets them out of the bottom 3 and this
could give them the belief to get on a roll
LIVERPOOLO 3-1 MAN
UNITED
SHAQUIRI SINKS IT
There it is! Liverpool work the ball patiently from a
throw-in and Fabinho dinks a *delightful* ball over their defence, from 10
yards or so outside the area, towards Mane’s run. The forward, unattended by
the United back line, controls brilliantly and lashes under De Gea.
United spring forward and Lukaku gets a chance to deliver
from the left. He whips it low and Alisson makes a hash of it, seemingly
dropping the ball onto his own knee and watching in horror as it pops out – Lingard
is alert, slides in and crashes the loose ball into the net!
It might even be his first touch! Mane skins Herrera
one-on-one at the left byline and drills across low. It deflects off Matic and
De Gea has to make a sharp reflex stop with his left foot – but it runs out to
the right side of the box, where Shaqiri is running onto it and lashes it, via
a snick off Young, in off the crossbar.
It’s via another deflection but they won’t care. It’s that
extra bit of composure they needed from Shaqiri – he advances towards the box
but, instead of taking aim from 25 yards, plays a cute ball in for Firmino. He
can’t quite find Salah with a first-time flick and the ball spins out perfectly
for Shaqiri to ram it, with a small snick off a defender once again, past De
Gea from the edge of the area.
MY
OPINION
This result has to give
Liverpool some confid3ence going into the next few matches as they had taking a
point from their own error to absolute control in a matter of moments. As for
United you wonder what they will be competing for at the end of the season.
